When I gave my list to the invitation place to do machine calligraphy, I used abbreviations for the state names, but I really wanted them spelled out. I wanted everything formal. I am so angry!! I emailed them but they were supposed to be ready today so I bet they are already printed. Oh, they are going to look crappy now
UPDATE:
I called the invitation place and they are a few days behind. I'm sending them a new ist with everything spelled out. I know that some of you thought it wasn't a big deal, but we are spending so much on invitations and I wanted them perfect. I'm really, really lucky!

I would never have noticed! In fact, I had a friend that had it done and I didn't realize until just now, and it looked fine!!!! No one is going to notice and truthfully, I have never heard anyone say 'UGH! I just got the worst invitation.... it abbreviates the state!'

****, the list I gave also has st. and rd. abbreviated. I just noticed this. How could I be so stupid? My invitations are going to look like ****.

They're only envelopes, not invitations! People rip them open, throw them out, and check out the invite! Do you think the same people that take forever to send back a response card will ever notice that you have Rd. instead of Road? No way!! Don't panic! It won't ruin your wedding!

Oh Iam so happy for ya, I read your post ysterday and I am really glad to hear it all worked out. I know some said it wasn't a big deal but its your invitations and if it bothered you than it is a big deal.
You wanna hear something funny, FH & I looked over our list real careful, twice!! and we still didn't catch a mistake on his parents invitations out of all people!! LOL We are having theirs re-Calligraphied (sp?).

I spend so long today fixing the list and I couldn't believe how many mistakes there were! I really rushed and didn't check the list over the first time. I fell sooooooo much better now that it's all checked and correct.

Literally, I had a spelling error on someon's name for the inner envelope!
