i just sent an email to a vendor telling her that although i booked with her and gave a deposit, i have decided to use someone else
i know its no big deal but i feel bad

I agree... You do feel bad now - but think of how much worse you'd feel day of if you kept saying -oh, if only i would've used that OTHER vendor...

I think some of them expect it to happen. It's why oskana and jen raised their deposits, b/c too many girls were saving their date with them and not using them. Honestly, don't feel bad, the vendor knows it's a business and this sort of thing can and will happen.

You have to do what makes you happy and what you will feel comfortable with on your wedding day. Don't worry about it. I'm sure its not the first time its happened.
