I wouldn't invite her either! She is a Girlfriend of a engaged couple. or like a roomate. Why would you invite her? She has no relationship with you. I would say no.

So they are a swinging couple with a live in girlfriend??
am i getting this right?
and if i am, i don't have any idea as to what's appropriate in terms of invites
exactly.. and for 2 years she has NOT be invited to anything 'family' related... bc the parents of the brother... hate this...
everyone does not approve.

How SCANDALOUS!!! They're swingers?!!?!?
OK, this is what I would tell her, you haven't planned the guest list yet, but you're trying to keep it very small, family only.. that's all.
I agree. Tell her that. And besides it's over 1 year away.

i'm not one to judge....so party on to them!
but for you, i would view her like their roommate, and probably wouldn't invite. It's rude of her to ask you anyway. I agree with others, tell her you need to keep the numbers down.
By now she must be used to being shunned, no?

she thinks she is part of the family....
my best friend told her flat out, neither one of you will be part of my wedding...
i feel horrible but i just spoke to her ^ who said that... she told me to say the same.. to jsut tell her flat out she is NOT invited.

tell her you dont want drama out of respect with the 'older' generations at the wedding, and you really hope she understands...

Do you talk to this girl? Like are you friends? Cause basically just think of it as like there roommate. ANd I wouldn't invite her. I would just tell her flat out that she is not invited. What is she gonna do not talk to you?

oh wow a group of swingers...
jk..i dont get a relationship like that but i am not going to judge
i dont think she should be invited- especially if she hasnt been invited to any family events and the parents dont approve= i wouldnt want the parents of FH's best friend to feel uncomfortable during the wedding cause this girlfriend of FH's best friends brother is there...
lol
but it was also rude for her to ask you...

personally i dont think you should invite anyone that could make the rest of the family uncomfortable
i am trying not to invite my cousin's boyf of over ten years since he is a drug addict loser - and if he is there my aunt and uncle ( who are practically my second set of parents) would probably spend most of hte night in tears.
i am NOT comparing him to this 'unique' situation - i think everyone is entitled to their lifestyle but they shouldnt 'come out' to the public at your wedding

wow! what a crazy situation!
its up to you, but i wouldn't want her there at the wedding....but that's just me. i mean it would be different if everyone approved...but even her own 'BF' won't allow her to come to their wedding!
i'd just tell her no...you'er not invited!

So basically they are in a three persoon relationship but you are only inviting two of them? Is that what it is?
Anyway, if you dont want ehr there- dont invite her. She will figure it out when she doesnt get an invitation.

Wow, this is a very interesting situation. I would just keep it as 'we didn't make up the guest list yet, but we are trying to keep it small, like family and close friends only.'
HTH, good luck!
