After doing the post about 'can you pass the third grade' I felt even more dumb. I took my placement exams yesterday for John Jay and I couldn't remember how to do simple algebra!! Like what's the square root of 8!!! No calculators!! How much is this going to hurt me???

Well if you did well on ever other aspect of the test or any other tests and your trnscripts are very good, then they'll probably just make you do remedial math. I don't know how long you've been out of high school, but for me, I was a math wizz - advanced calculus in High School and all and NOW I cannot even divide without a calculator! It's so frustrating!
