You shouldn't feel bad! It's not your fault that his list isn't as long as yours. My list isn't as long as my FH's but how can I ask him to cut out people that he wants to invite to our wedding? I simply can't!! These are the people in his family that will become MY family... so, in essence, this is OUR family... whether they're from my side or his. That's how you have to think about it. This is a celebration of 2 families coming together!

I've learned you can't feel bad! I had the same situation, I realized you're inviting who you invite because you care about them and and they love you! Like the poster above said, two families are becoming one!! You can't cut people to make it even...you'll probably then feel bad for NOT inviting people!

don't feel bad, I have more family than my fiance does, not by much, but I do have more, then group your friends and make the mutual friends, after all, you are getting married and anyone in your life is in your fiances life too!!! What my fiance and I did was divided up the remainder of guests after family and friends and went that way, you can try doing that with him!!!

Don't feel bad! Your two families are becoming one so they're all your guests together! I have a huuuuge Italian and Greek family. We have people coming from Greece and italy and I have about double the guests my fiancé does. Were getting a sign for our ceremony that says 'as two families become one we ask you to chose a seat not a side!' :)

Speaking from the other perspective, there are no hard feelings! My fiance has a larger family than I do, his parents are divorced and remarried so the family doubles. They are my new family so I don't even think of it as his guests, my guests- its just all the people who we want to be surrounded by on our big day.
And yes, this website and the ladies on here are fantastic, I can always find answers to my questions and support whenever I need them :)
