I was just thinking last night about how for the wedding we are going to have to do something with our dog. She's going to think we are giving her up or something!!! I feel so bad- I might slowly bring her to one of my BM's house to get use to them and her brother will watch her..
anyone else have this problem?

well I haven't a clue what I am going to do with our cat, especially since we are leaving the next morning on a cruise so we have to figure out what to do with him for a week.

I've been trying not to think about that because it stresses me out! My dog is a little princess, and she does not like to be anywhere but our apartment with us! I think she'll spend the day with FH while he's getting ready, then the night of the wedding I'm going to have my parents come back to our apartment then take the dog home with them while we are on our honeymoon.

my parents are going to watch my two little girls. But since we're going to be gone for two weeks I'm afraid they are going to be so upset with us when we get home.

FH and I have the same problem. His parents would watch our pomeranian when we are away but we've since got a another pup and feel like it may be too much to ask since he's a handful...
No idea yet...I want to find a really good sitter but feel weird about a stranger in my house!

I always feel bad when I have to leave my dog for awhile. I even feel bad to drop her off at the groomers. When we leave her at the boarders in the summer when we go on vacation. When I go pick her up she acts so scared and like she doesn't even know us lol each summer that passes gets better. But the first summer she literally acted like she didn't know me. Hahaha I guess she was mad. But for our HM I'm sure my parents would watch her for me.

ugh I'm insane over that. :(
My 13 year old husky Logan has never been boarded. My parents have always watched him if needed. It's not like I really go anywhere anyway.
But my rescue Cierra is really hyper and at the moment neither of my parents are steady on their feet and they cant handle her. Plus she's mega prey driven and they have cats. I'm going to have to board her and I worry that she'll feel abandoned and afraid.
I really cant bring myself to board the 2 of them together. Logan is old and he needs to be comfortable and he's starting arthritis meds soon. I cant leave him with someone who wont pamper the grumpy old man. So Cierra will be alone..ugh..not thinking about it...not thinking about it.

We are having the same problem. Usually when we go away our friend Jay comes and stays at the house. But in this case, everyone we know will be headed to CA for the wedding, so no one to stay at the house. We are thinking we may drive the pups over to San Diego with us and have his mom watch them at her place for the week while we are gone for our honeymoon.
