I feel violated

This is really bothering me- but I posted some wedding pictures that my friend sent me.

One of my other bridesmaids- her sister's friend apparently sent the pictures to her and told her that I had posted them.

I had to hear through the grapevine that the bm is mad that I posted pictures of her online.

I find it creepy and feel like I am being watched or something.

Why can't you post pictures of your own wedding??? or are these not from your wedding???

the pictures are from my wedding- but apparently my bm has issues with her picture being online but it was just weird that some person I dont know sent them to her- I feel like I got tattled on (ps- I didnt even think she'd have an issue with her pics online)

lol wow, so you posted pictures of YOUR wedding, on a wedding website...and if she was in your BP , then she is going to be in your wedding pictures. It's not like you are posting them on an 'adult' forum haha


We have all been here helping you out and waiting to see how your day went, and b/c of someone being upset about you putting a picture up that happends to have them in it, shouldn't mean that you should post it or that you have to be leery of future postings.

I feel like she is overreacting a little bit too much. :)

i mean, if i looked really ugly in a photo that someone posted on myspace or this site or any site i might be like ohhh man, that picture is embarrasing take it down but i wouldnt be mad over it - im sorry in todays day and age if you are in a picture you have to expect that its going to end up somewhere on the internet

It's actually interesting that you bring this up b/c before I posted pictures from my wedding, I was thinking the same thing....hmmm wonder if any of these people would have an issue with it,a nd while I didn't directly ask them, I have been talking to them about the wedding for a year and they are all well aware I post pics here.

Some people just don't like their pics posted..I figure if they aren't bad pictures or embarassing then what different does it make.

why wouldnt you be able to post pictures from your own wedding, she agreed to be in you wedding and stood up in front of all of those people, is she gonna have her 'friends' watch for picts of her from everyone????

First of all - that doesn't make any sense. If you agree to be in a wedding, you're agreeing to all of the pictures that come with that role. So I don't understand why there would be an issue with you posting any of them.

Second - i know EXACTLY how it feels to be 'watched'. I had a girl from my old job do something creepy like that to ME a few weeks ago. OMG - it was CRAZY!! I think she's kinda upset that she's not invited because most of the others who work there ARE (but i'm also closer to the others, not so much her). Anyhoo - I filled out one of those gay surveys on MySpace and was being all sarcastic and said something about my 'incompetent old boss' (which is totally true, but maybe i shouldn't have said it). I just didn't even think that anybody would read it or care. lol. However - this b!tch decided to actually PRINT it out and GIVE it to my old boss. Started all this drama. Which made no sense because I don't even work there anymore. Anyway - so I definitely felt violated too!! Esp since everything i write is set to 'Private' so I kinda felt betrayed by a so-called 'friend'. Needless to say, she was immediately deleted from my page. But what the heck?

So yours is much better!! They're your pics of YOUR wedding. Don't let nosey weirdos (with no life) make you upset.

i dont think you should feel creeped out or violated, maybe she just told her hey i saw a pic of u on such and such website, but if she told her to be nosy or a snitch then u should be upset.

talk to your bm about it. no sense in getting all riled up when you havent heard it from the horses mouth. also, if your bm doesnt want her pics to be online, i can understand that because many people dont. just block out her face in any pics that she is in.

lol. Yeah - I could see a jerk doing that if i STILL WORKED there, but seriously. Move on. Other employees (who are my friends) were calling me, like 'You left, why are we still apparently obsessed with you over here??' It was actually amusing kinda - but i was still pissed. I feel bad for people like that. Something's definitely wrong with them.

omg I totally know how you feel. I have had things I posted on this site come back to me several times and it really is sad. The creepiest thing is that its often a STRANGER to you who happens to know that you are connected to someone they know. everytime you type you're like 'I wonder if this very post is going to be discussed around somebody's water cooler or breakfast table' LOL

oh boy, what is the big deal.. I agree with a poster above.. that this is a website about weddings and we all love seeing how fellow brides' weddings turned out after months/years of planning every tiny detail... she's mad her pic as a BRIDESMAID is posted, its not like you posted naked pictures

I am in the minority here I guess because I would not want pictures of me (fully clothed and looking gorgeous or not) on the internet without me knowing first.

but people forget that any weirdo/psycho/stalker etc, can easily find you on here and watch you, all your posts are public too.

Luckily its set not to be searchable by google, but that wont stop the crazies.

If you search your username on google, it comes up... that's why I changed my screename.. it was originally the same as my aol. So now people could find me if they have no life and come to this site specifically to stalk me, but can't find through google unless they type in your screename.
