i fell in love with these guys on the subway!

Well, when i was in grad school last year I would ride the subway. On several occasions a musical group/ acapella group performed on my ride home. They always made me smile b/c of their music. One day fh was with me and they got on the train and began singing--he thought they were amazing too! I asked for their card months ago and the otehr day i was thinking how much i would love to have them perform at my wedding.

they are a motown/ r& b group (music i grew up w/)

so now i cant decide if i want them for dinner hour or cocktail hour... what do you think??? Its a group of 4 or 5 guys and they sing acapella.

what would you do?

I agree...if they are that awsome you want a captive audience to give them the attention they deserve. With cocktail hour everyone is in transition so they may not stay still enough. That is awsome that you are choosing amature talent...i'm such an advocate of using independant artists when possible!!

lolol...they aren't quite amatures -- they are b/w 30-48 I would say. And they aren't cheap $800/ hour! It is a real company.
I think I will stick with dinner hour and our first dance.

Ironically I think I know the group you are talking about when I use to ride the subway they would come through very casually and mellow and start singing I remember one song they use to sing was the song from the Lion King ' Mighty Jungle' not sure if that is the title . Anyway they would then get into singing R&B and it always put a smile on my face. That would be so cool if you can get them

That's a lot of money, no?
I would have them signing before the ceremony (musical prelude) and have them sing me down the aisle. Just another option
