I have my heart set on a mermaid, or trumpet style gown

I am so nervous how its going to look, and after i hear everyone on here saying how it doesnt look good on them, im starting to wonder

i thought the same but when i tried them on...they looked good...i think ull be fine...i think i might end up with a mermaid-esque dress...but i need to check out a few more stores.
