I forgot to number the invites!

Shoot! FH reminded me when I was 90% done. Now what happens if someone sends their reply without putting their name on it?

My MOH who just got married forgot to do it also, she didn't have any problems. I'm debating doing it myself...

Thanks, I'll try not to. It's just so frustrating because I have always meant to but I have been so rushed and just got the envelopes back at like 9:30 last night so it totally slipped my mind. And while FH was sealing like the 12Oth he says you numbered them, right? And thought I was joking when I said I forgot. Aahh!!!

I relaized I didn't do this after stuffing 20 of them, so I was able to go back and fix the problem. I wouldn't worry too much! Worse off, you can always call the people you haven't heard from and aks them if they are coming.

We put numbers on ours & only 1 person forgot their name, but had it on the return address. Don't stress, it'll be fine!

we, who am i kidding, I remembered to number ours...but no one left off their names! one couple actually wrote their number next to their names!!

don't sweat it. if in the end you have 2-3 with no names, just call those you haven't heard from and ask...say you lost some...that you have had people mail them and they not arrive....blame the postal system...and then you'll find out...guests will be blunt 'oh, we're not coming, i didn't send it in yet.' or 'oh, we sent it in...must be one of the lost ones' when we called a few people they would just come right out and say whether they were coming and even tell you how they didn't bother to mail it in!!!

I numbered mine and did not need too. Everyone returned them with names written on!!

ah its ok. We numbered them, and I actually messed up the numbering anyway. We had no problems, everyone put a legible name on their RSVP.

I numbered mine and someone (ALI!!!) pointed it out on her response

I figured I would be better safe then sorry and I actually already used it to verify one because two family members have the same names.

Putting numbers on the back of the RSVP cards that correspond with numbers you have for each guest on your list. That way, when the RSVPs come back you can match them up with the ones on the list. People do this because there have been stories of RSVPs coming back with no names or illegible names on them.

Don't worry, it'll come up on the boards again!! But if you want, you can click on 'Add to Notebook' and this thread will be saved. Then under 'My Wedding' you can look at all the threads you've saved for future reference.

i think you will be okay. not to jinx myself, but we have not had any problems yet without numbering. and we got the kind of reply card where guests write a note, not simply fill in there name. fingers crossed for you!
