I forgot to put 'black tie optional' on our invitations.

Does it really matter?

NOT AT ALL!!

If you want.....just make small little note cards in the shape of a bow tie or something like that and include them in with the invitations.

I wouldn't worry too much though.

honestly, it wouldn't have mattered even if you did...

based on EVERY wedding I've EVER been to, including my own, there's always someone who dresses however they want.

You'll be just fine! (I wrote it on my invites, it didn't make any difference)...
