i give up

i cannot keep telling FMIL that she cant wear a blue or purple dress to my wedding. i have no more energy for it.
she just bought a purple dress a shade off of my MOH.
i have to accept that she is going to wear the colors of my bridal party and look like she's part of it. i dont care anymore.

So sorry.

Dont sweat it! I promise it wont matter!! I was upset originally by the colorm y MIL picked but in the end everything looked fine, she looked beautiful and felt beautiful and that's all that matters! Dont stress I swear it won't matter and if it is a shade off than no big deal...it will blend!

i know in the long run it totally doesnt matter. now its just the principle of the thing ya know? i will not let this affect our relationship though.thanks

that is ridiculously annoying. she won't blend in with the bridal party though - she's old and your friends aren't

I totally understand..believe me I was SO upset about my MIL's dress...but i promise you , it wont even matter at all that day hunny...Im sorry she did this when you asked her not to, it stinks

no its not bad. i just preferred that her dress have no connection to the colors of the BP so she wouldnt look like she's a part of them. ive seen pics of MOB dresses that compliment the BP and it looks really nice. i just asked my FMIL mom and stepmom to look a little different. mom and stepmom listened, FMIL would not.

i hear your frustration. we haven't even gotten to that point yet but i remember this being an issue for some of my friends...

people wont remember the details like that or think much of them on the actual day... that's why god created an OPEN BAR!
