I give up - I am calling BBQ's to cater

Okay, I have been asking about friend's weddings and learned that a coworker and his wife spent $40K for their 70 guests Manhattan wedding in 2000. Some famous caterer (something Cleaver) and a band from PA that they had come to NYC.

Then of course there is my coworker who paid $60K for her 120 guests wedding. She said she will be paying credit card debt until late 2005 since she charged a lot of the wedding expenses on a Bank One no interest card.

I want to just rent a spot that can hold 250, invite everyone and have BBQ's cater it. I even checked it out when I stopped by for take out tonight. They have dinner packages for $11.99 and less. For that price, or even $25 per person, I could invite all 194 guests and let the singles bring dates - so like 250 guests.

Now, where can I find a place in Brooklyn that is willing to let me bring in BBQ's?

Do you mean the Knights of Columbus on Kenneth Pl.? I had a party there(Knights of Columbus in Oceanside)it was great and it is beautiful. My daughters confirmation party(May 03) was in the smaller downstairs room but we are actually planning her Sweet 16 and were thinking of going back, upstairs was amazing for the money. They had just done a rennovation when we had her confirmation party. Everything is done for you. They have waiters, open bar, cocktail hour(even for the party we had). Now we only paid $28per person but it was for a Sat. afternoon downstairs. I don't know what their other rates are. There is also a small waterfall outside and the trees are lit up with white lights. Im also have my sons confirmation party there if I can get the date this May. If you need any other info. FM me.
