there is something wrong with. Nothing really all that major. But i've been losing more hair than normal and Ive had really dry scalp for a few weeks... SO the dermatologist, takes one look and I have psoriasis. He asked if I was under stress.. HMM... YES. .I said I was planning a wedding He gave me special shampoo and a gel to put on. FH joked that he knew something would be wrong because i dont go to the dr and come back fine
Since we've been engaged: I found out I have IBS, heart problems (bicuspid aortic valve), high risk for HPV, and since my fall in disney, i have a dislocated tailbone which i've been seeing a chiropractor for, and now the psoriasis

i'm so sorry Megan for what it's worth, i am the same...since fh & i have been together i have had so many medical problems, i feel bad bc he is always worrying about some other health issue that manages to come up with me
Thank God they take good care of us right~
Yes they do take care of us I really think i would be a basket case if it wasnt for FH, he tries to think of the lighter sides of it all. He made a joke today, that with the money my dad gives us when he sells the house after we get married (which we are using to buy something), he thinks we should give it to a dr. to fix me I feel like i am constantly going to dr.'s. I am to go back to the gyno for another HVP vaccine monday, the 19th I have to go back to a dr for a follow up for my surgery back in Dec. the 25th, i have to go back to the dermatologist. And start going back to the chiro! When does it end! And for the rest of my life, getting paps every 6 months, and a heart check up annually.

Stress does amazing things to your body. Age doesn't help nor does being a spaz. The tailbone is a tough injury, not much they can do. IMO, I don't like chiros, I prefer physical therapy. Have you tried that? I can feel your pain though. I have been in pain since my birthday six months ago. I fell, of all places---at my ex-husband's house! In March my back went out and I was out of work for weeks. Now I found out I may need surgery on my knee next month. I have a rotator cuff tear from a 4 ft fall a few years ago. I am highly allergic to the cortisone injections. I had surgery last summer for another issue. I now joke that I am trying to get an award for most surgieres... Do you have a 'toosh cush', special cushion to sit on? It really helps.

I've heard that about Chiros too. I actually stopped going because I didnt like him and I'm looking for a new dr. What kind of dr. would I go to for physical therapy?

Thats what I thought it was, dry scalp. But it was really bad so I'm glad I went to the dermatologist. Maybe you should go just in case

I have had psoriasis for over 10 years. I am not going to lie, it s u c k s. I have it sorta mild now - it goes in waves. I was just on an injectable medicine for 12 weeks (12 weeks I had to go to the dr for a shot in my arm!) to see if would help because my scalp was bad. It seems to have helped and now I am using a GREAT shampoo called Meted and it seems to keep it 'at bay.' Another great one is Sebulex. They are over the counter and for me, they worked better than the prescription ones. (Not as good as clobex though, if that is what he gave you. That has cortisone in it and is super powerful, just be careful with it.)
If you want any info at all, let me know. I have tried almost everything there is to varying degrees of success. Stress is a major factor, and yes, our bodies sense it even if you don't feel it.

Thanks so much. I dont remember the name of the shampoo he gave me. The sample is a small white botte with green lettering He mentioned the shots if the shampoo doesnt help. I just hope it clears up somewhat before the wedding because you can kinda see it at the hairline I'll definitely keep the shampoos you mentioned in mind if this one doesnt work. Thank you again!

Re: I go to the dr. and of course
I'm so sorry for everything you are going through! The psoriasis may be a nuisance but is not as serious as your other issues. Some of your issues are definitely stress related. I've been losing a lot of hair myself. I sympathize for you greatly regarding your other issues. I have back and neck issues myself, but a dislocated tail bone! I don't know how anyone can call you a hypochondriac, your other issues are certainly not imagined! It's good that you can keep a positive outloook. Try and take it easy!

I had it on the hairline too - the shots took care of that and the shampoo, which I use 2x a week or so, has kept it away. You can get a cortisone ointment from him to use on the hairline for the wedding too, he should give it to you. Who are you seeing? I see Dr. Kessler in Massapequa, I really like him. He has spent so much time listening to me complain and what not -- really nice guy!

Aww My grandpa used to do the same when I was younger. I was always a heavy child and he had diabetes and before every dinner he would yell that he wanted to take my blood I never let him. I would get checked just to know though.
