I just have to share. My dad decided that with the wedding coming up and lots of pictures that will be taken, the house needed some picker uppers. Dad decided to change the doors on the bedrooms (and bathroom) and they are a six panel door (they look framed , is the best way to describe them and they match my closet door which is fairly new). So far he has done my room and the computer room. It is going to look so nice. Daddy is awesome!

That sounds nice! It's amazing the difference doors can make! We changed our closet doors and it really made a world of difference.
my mom has done that too see started with that before i knew it new kitchen new floors new paint everywhere ive created a monster

Although I don't live home anymore I'll be getting ready at and leaving from the house I grew up in. I think this has motivated my Dad to do all those home improvements he keeps putting off.

I live with my parents and my dad did this to our family's home. It looks so nice and he hasn't even painted it yet.
I wonder what other types of changes/upgrades will be made

My mom was so concerned about our wedding pictures she bought a new house
ETA: Ok, my parents bought the house ANYWAY, it just happened to coincide with us getting married

They get a wedding bug and feel the need remodel!
I got engaged in July, since then we have completely redone our living room and dining room, we are in the process of doing the upstairs hall, adn starting soon we are redoing the bathroom and kitchen! This includes new carpets, furniture, window treatments, paint, tiles, cabinets etc...
mom and dad have been remodeling machines in the last 5 months!

It is funny how all of a sudden the 20 year old curtains are not good enough. Some changes were made when my brother got married in Nov 2002 and now I guess they realize that the bride will be taking pictures in her bedroom, so Daddy has been working. Come springtime, my mom will probably be in the garden

My parents are doing the same..they got a new couch, new dining room set, new carpeting, my dad has paper somewhere I am sure of how the rooms need to be set up the day of the wedding b/c we'll have so many ppl over, the photographer, the make up person, etc...so everything has to be in top shape.
I got my dad an appointment book for work and my mom filled in his to do list the week of the wedding and the day of. He's got it down to a science of what he needs to do the day of the wedding.
Everything in their place is 'ok what do we need to do for the wedding'
