'An Adult Reception will immediately follow at ________________. Please be advised that the reception is intended for attendants over the age of 18 (in bold). Please respect our wishes.'
'Parking is available for a small fee of $0.75 per hour'
'The bride and groom are accepting monetary (in bold) donations in lieu of gifts'
Needless to say I am falling out of my seat laughing
i was worried about being 'P.C.' and this is what FH's cousin sends. Oh boy here it goes

Re: i got a wedding invite today
Crashing!
That is crazy! There are so many things wrong with that. I love that the guests have to pay for parking and worry about how long they are going to stay. To also ask for money on an invitation is super tacky. This makes me feel better about my invitations.

How old are the bride and groom? What do they do for a living?
They are 25 and 27 respectively. She's a chef - he's a math teacher I think.
Just very strange overall.
I wish I could decline but it's FH's first cousin so I have to go! ARGH
I haven't showed FH yet - I can't wait for his reaction

Please video tape his reaction and post it.
Actually, please do a dramatic reading of the wedding invite and post it.

Re: i got a wedding invite today
I'm just wondering if this chick has any clue that people would find this offensive or if she does know but doesn't care. Also I'm surprised no one like her mom stepped in and advised against it.

I'm the type of person that would totally make a donation to Make a Wish or something and then place a 'A Donation Has been Made in your honor' card inside the wedding card and call that my 'monetary donation'....
OMG! I was thinking the same thingggg haha

that had an enclosure that reads as follows:
'An Adult Reception will immediately follow at ________________. Please be advised that the reception is intended for attendants over the age of 18 (in bold). Please respect our wishes.'
'Parking is available for a small fee of $0.75 per hour'
