I got an RSVP with a MAYBE as the response!!!

What are these people thinking?????

THey put two question marks in the accept and decline spots...and wrote,
'We may come if the weather is good'

HELLO??????? I've never heard of someone writing maybe on an RSVP.

I don't even know these people, they are friends of FI's parents. So, FI has to call his mom and explain that if they don't think the can come, we have to put down NO, and not maybe.

STRANGE........

I love the way people think this is a backyard bbq, and you need the count, so that you can decide on how much potatoe salad to make.

Yikes!!!! Who responds MAYBE to a wedding invitation and then goes on to say 'If the weather is nice'?????

i would take that as a 'no' and i would talk to FI. this is not a kiddie party this is your wedding and they should know better. some people act like they are doing you a favor by attending your wedding. personally i feel less people means more money in my pocket for the purchase of a new house. don't sweat it. it is probably best that they don't come.

That is sooooo rude!!! You should send them another invitation that says 'the honor of your presence MAY BE requested if you bring a generous gift...' I'm sure you'll get a YES or NO to THAT one!!! Some people!!!

That isnt just rude - that is insane!!!!! THis is not like a little get together or bbq at your hosue - you have a whole bunch of things set up - what are they thinking???

I once knew of a woman who planned her daughter's shower for November (the wedding was supposed to take place in May) and her reason for not holding the shower in, say, February was because it might snow...but this woman was certifiably insane!

I'm not mad or anything, but I just never expected to get an RSVP like that...it's somewhat funny!

I know it will be taken care of, and that they will be 'No's so I'm not worried, I was just wondering if anyone else experience such a strange RSVP?

HOW RUDE?!! If I were you, I would call and say well I guess this means NO because there is no such thing in MAYBE. What is wrong with people?! I still won't believe her if she later said yes because she probably will be one of the stiffers.
