What are these people thinking?????

THey put two question marks in the accept and decline spots...and wrote,
'We may come if the weather is good'

HELLO??????? I've never heard of someone writing maybe on an RSVP.

I don't even know these people, they are friends of FI's parents. So, FI has to call his mom and explain that if they don't think the can come, we have to put down NO, and not maybe.

STRANGE........

OH NO! Are you kidding me? Shelyzp you made me lol. I swear some people act like they've been living in a cave.

But in fairness to them, where are they from? We forget sometimes that weddings in other places are not like they are on LI with all the planning and costs. My brother is getting married upstate in his fiance's backyard complete with a pig roast, so the ?? would be perfectly acceptable there. I am NOT defending them though, it's still rude!

Same boat. We got one RSVP with a 'maybe' with both the couple's names on the yes line. My MIL was confused and told me to write a letter to the couple to clarify who the maybe is either the man or the woman or both. Note: this couple is divorced but are good friends. I wrote the letter and never received a response. Less than a week before our big day, MIL phoned the couple which they both will not attend. Now, how painful was that to give a response?

It's like playing guessing games to the bride and groom as the were enough stress on my mind with so many things to do and so little time. Messing with the bride and groom!

That is crazy... I understand that the wedding is in December and that you might have a snowstorm, but if you're planning on going, say yes. If you're that scared of the weather, say no!

Gosh...that's so weird....there is no MAYBE box....why would they put that???? You obviously need a Yes or No...IMO if they aren't sure if they can come they should call and let you know the situation.

We got a yes maybe from one of Frankie's cousin. I told him that is a no- his mother INSISTED they were coming and guess what - nope they didn't. They were coming from Florida so they had more than enough time to tell us that they were not coming. I would count them as a no and pay for them that day if they show.

That is truly unbelievable! I could understand a maybe if it was a family illness and they didn't know what was going on...but the WEATHER??? C'mon...it's obvious that if it's bad weather and it's a long trip (Out of Town) they wouldn't show up if they said yes.

These are the type of people that feel like they are doing you a favor by attending your wedding and then when and if they do show up they dont bring a gift anyway!

They are probably from out of state where they do have backyard pig roastin' weddings and think this is Ok.

FH is from PA, so I am sure I will have some responses like that.
