I got annoyed at a bride to be...insight wanted!
We had DH's coworker and his fiance over for lunch last weekend. They both attended our wedding. They are getting married in April.
For the first hour that they were over, I really felt (and DH agrees) like they were in their own world. I really thought it was the most boring get together that I had EVER had.
Anyway, the bride refused to eat anything, except for the raw veggies that we had out. She got annoyed when she found out that another one of the coworkers was coming over (because she had to cut him from her guest list), she got annoyed when DH changed the channel on TV. When discussing her guest list, she said she knows that coworkers are always understanding about that stuff. When I agreed, and shared with her about how I had to run out and get different invites for DH's coworkers because I ran out, I could tell she was offended.
When I showed her things like the card we got from the President, and our newspaper announcement, she was bored. I was trying really hard to interest her in SOME way.
Finally, when she discovered that she's using the same calligrapher that I had, she asked how much I paid and got all pissy because her place cards are costing $0.10 more each than mine did. I had to remind her that the price probably went up since I got married.
Then, she asked if my envelopes came back smelling like smoke, because hers did and she's upset. I said 'yes', but she also did my thank you cards, but those were fine. I also told her how to get the smell out and she was thankful for that.
BUT, then she said that *I* should write a letter to the calligrapher to complain about the smoke scent.
(ummm...why ME?) In the end, the problem was fixed, and I do plan to use this woman again in the future. I felt like saying, 'why don't YOU write her the letter?'
But, I didn't say a word and then they went home...
