I am so excited because I got my dress!!! I don't even have my RH yet, but my best friend is visiting from Vermont, so I figured that I would try now so I can get her opinion on the dresses.
I decided, before going to bridal shops and paying 'bridal prices' for a dress, I would try regular stores to see if I can find something.
Well, I really lucked out b/c the 3rd dress I tried was perfect!!! And I could not believe how inexpensive it was!!!!
To make the dress even more perfect, I bought a slip to go underneath the dress to make it 'go out' on the bottom. Along with my cathedral veil and jewelry, the dress looks like I bought it in the finest bridal shop.
I was concerned that I was missing out, so I went to bridal shops to find something better. But I couldn't!!! I already had the dress that I was looking for!
So, if I may offer some advice, before checking out bridal shops, try to get a gorgeous white gown from a store. It really can be done!

I got it at the dress section in Macy's. Basically just grabbed all the floor length white gowns and started trying on.
As for pics, I would love to post some, but I don't own a digital camera (or any camera for that matter), and I don't know how to post pictures either. I will ask some friends and see if they can help me with this......

I did a similar thing...but now I'm starting to freak that I'm missing out or that the dress I picked doesn't look good on me But it makes me feel better that I'm not the only one to do this...

Have you tried it on with all the jewelry and your veil? Also, as I said above, you can get a slip to get some more material underneath to make it look more like a 'wedding' dress. Don't feel that you are missing out because of where you bought your dress. I tried on other dresses in bridal shops, but this was the one!
One of the nice things about buying a less expensive dress in a store is that, if you want, you can possibly buy another dress to change into.

be careful and don't look at anymore dresses because it is really early for you and you might see new styles, so if you are sure about this dress dont look around anymore..
