I GOT THE CALL- Fh is finally in Japan!

So....last night around 11:30pm FH called me. I was soo suprised I didn't think I would be able to hear from him until atleast next week some time.

However, he called when he arrived in mainland Japan at the Tokoyo Airport. He had an hour to kill before his flight from mainland Japan to the Island of Okinawa, Japan (where the military bases are). So he said he walked throughout the whole airport until he found a phone to call me. He is soo sweet

Then we talked for about 5 mintues. and He said he wont be able to get back to me for awhile. However this morning at 6am he called again!! He said he was finally in a bedroom in Okinawa after reporting into the higher ups (like the men who sign him into his new unit in Japan). They gave hima room and said on Monday they will start filling out all his paper work etc and get him to his exact room and with his unit and then he starts working in the armory again. So he said he was going to bored all weekend not knowing what to do where to go since he is in a new country. It's funny to because he was like what time is it- and I was like UM ITS 6AM!!!!!!! haha and he said no remember I am 13 hours ahead of you so it was really 7pm on friday night there! haha

It definitely helped me calm down a little. I mean I wasn't really worried but I was just sad I wouldn't be able to hear from him. But him being his sweet self made sure he found a phone knowing I would be going crazy not hearing from him sooner haha


thanks again everyone and I will definitely keep you updated. It is nice once he gets his real room he will set up his vonage. Which goes through the internet and he will keep his cell phone #. Good for us because now it wont be long distance because it will be like me calling a long island #. And it is only 25$ a month- CHEAP!!

ANd we also got webcams to help us remember what we look like haha I can't wait to set them up once he has the internet and everything!!

also the same with the cell phone... its the BEST thing for them...

It really is the best thing- thank god like you said!! I don't know what we would do without it. Well actually we would be writing A LOT more letters haha
