they asked me to come in and try it on to make sure it's the right dress, but they don't have any appointments on weekends, and only from 11-5 on weekdays! I work really long hours, and it's really difficult to get away. Is this normal? Will they also refuse to make appointments on weekends when it comes to the fittings??

im not sure where this is...but that sounds strange,...they should be more accomidating...I would call them and tell them that you work long hours and need to set something up. they should work with u...

also...why would they ask u to come in to make sure its the right dress??? is there a chance its the wrong dress?

It all sounds a little strange. Most salons have at least one night during the week they are open later and at least one day on the weekend.

Also why would think that the wrong dress came in?

yes, i would think they would have to to keep business afloat....11-5 is really restrictive hours

Hmm, now I'm a little worried...they just told me that I should come in and try it on in the next 2 weeks, that this wouldn't be a 'fitting', just to make sure it's the right dress...

The way the said it, I thought it was a normal thing everyone does... So most girls get the call, but don't need to try it on until the fitting the month before?

I don't mean to worry you. Yes most places will tell you to come try on the dress when it is in and no it wouldn't be a fitting but they wouldn't tell you to come make sure it is the right dress -- that would worry me.

exactly....i was told to try it on to see how it fit...not a fitting, but to see where i was with the dress, to see what kind of underwear i need and shoes, etc....not to make sure its the right dress....

we dont want to worry u, but we want to be honesy, u kno?

Hmm...maybe she just didn't explain it well. I guess I'll give it the benefit of the doubt (at least until I try it on and realize it IS the wrong dress, ha!)

No worries, they are very reputable and they just mean for you to make sure the dress size and style number are correct not that they're unsure if they ordered you the right dress. They do s.u.c.k w their times for alterations and yes, they will only do them during the week until 5...

I think others may be a bit more flexable. I would probably consider another place for alterations if my hours weren't a bit flexable at work.

that call seems soo weird...I do nto know how I would react to it....

Def,,,go in asap...just look and test out the waters...You can always find a seamstress out side of the salon.
