But I am not happy. Lillette's left a message on my answering machine that my dress was in and that they needed me to come try it on asap because they think that the hollow to hem measurement is messed up. Ugh! First of all, my dress was not supposed to come in until late July! I don't want to try it on now!! I have not lost any weight at all and am feeling larger than usual!
Also, when I got measured for my dress, I was wearing random shoes that were at the salon because I didn't have mine yet, and I have yet to buy them!! I have been having foot issues lately, and it has been hurting to walk, so I am not super excited to go shopping for them! And I have to go tomorrow because I am trying my dress on at 10:30am on Monday!! I need comfy shoes with a 2 and 3/4 inch heel. I hate shopping under pressure.
Not to mention, I am totally bloated and have cramps!! I am just not wanting to do anything with my dress right now! Wonder if it doesn't fit?! I know I still have 3 months to lose a few pounds, but I am nervous!! I am so depressed about the whole situation. It will really suck if there is a snafu with the hollow to hem measurement and they have to send it back!! I will be pissed!! Give a girl some hugs and prayers please!!

Re: I GOT 'THE CALL' TODAY
First off, CONGRATULATIONS on getting your dress!!!
I'm sorry you're feeling bigger than usual and that you don't have your shoes, etc. I know that can all really be very annoying. But look on the bright side - its better to know right away if there's an issue with the hollow to hem measurement.
And if you know that you want 2 3/4 inch heels, you don't HAVE to have your wedding shoes by tomorrow. Just use one of their shoes that have the same heel height. Don't worry, it will all work out!

Dont worry and try not to stress out about this b/c you have PLENTY of time to lose some pounds and you can just buy a pair of shoes that you know you can return/exchange if anything. You dont have to keep them and the dress could be shortened later when you find the right shoes. Dont worry and just have fun and enjoy trying on your dress!

Re: I GOT 'THE CALL' TODAY
Did Lillette's order your true size? I worked with Geri and she was amazing. When I went there the measurements said I should be size A, but she said I was a size B and that the measurements were off. She said she knew how much she had to pull at the dress. I was skeptical, but it wound up fitting me perfectly when I tried it on and have not lost or gained any weight since last July.
On top of this, you still do have time to lose weight, so I ,would not be too concerned. From what you are saying they really just want to check to length of the dress so that if it did some in wrong, it can be fixed immediately. Also - do not worry about finding the shoes. Just use ones you already own that are about the same height.\
Best of luck!!

Re: I GOT 'THE CALL' TODAY
for getting your dress! for how you're feeling - I understand the bloated crampy fat feeling all too well
but chill out girl! It'll be fine!
My dress is 4 INCHES TOO LONG hollow to hem, not sure if the bridal shop or the manufacturer screwed up, but it's a HUGE difference. However, I didn't flip out about it. You have to laugh these problems off and know that it will all come together. I'm sure if it is too long there will be a way to fix it! My gown is all lace so I was worried about the alterations to begin with, but now with it begin too long we had to figure out a way to fix it. I'm going to lose a small part of the design around the hip, but it actually works out because the dress looks better on me with that part taken off!
Don't worry hun!

It will all work out I am sure. When my dress came in, it was 5 inches too short! haha imagine how that looked, a capri length wedding dress. They sent it back and got it back in plenty of time, so worse case scenario, they can always send it back. Do you have any ideas for stores you plan on going to, to look for shoes? I dunno where you live on the island but I went to Shoe Elegance. It's a teeny tiny shoe store in Lynbook on Sunrise Hwy, but they had a decent selection and the prices were reasonable. Everything will work out and you will be a beautiful bride no matter what.
