I just got back from Saks in the city and I had the most amazing experience. All in the sales lady and the selection of dresses. Before you think it is too much, let me tell you how much she worked with me... First off I took the train up from DC (where I live, I am in town for a meeting and met my mom at Saks); and while on the train picked up a bridal mag and ripped out some pics to show her what I was thinking. The first dress she brought out ended up being it but I tried on atleast 10 that I loved. Now here's where it was cool, I opened up a Saks card and immediately got 10% off, then she is shipping it to DC and I will pay no tax so right off the bat I am saving like 18%, then the alterations are capped at $450. The woman Imo was amazing, the first person that made me feel beautiful and not heavy (I need to lose about 10 pounds but I am like a size 6/8 with a large chest and some places kept telling me to lose weight and didn't make me feel good about myself). Anyway, they charge your new card half and then when it comes in you pay the other half and they will wait to charge your card for a special day (such as spend over $200 get $200 credit for shoes, or triple points day, etc). The alterations and everything come with the 10% off too. It was fantastic. She even told my mom she would be her shopper for her and she only does that for her brides.
