I got transferred to a new school today.

A little background. I work for BOCES and had a year long Temp leave position that was supposed to end in June. I wound up falling in love with the postion but it was not available for permenant hiring for several more years...long story. So anyway a new perm. positon opened up and it was offered to me. i will be collecting seniority and tenure and have much needed job security and guess I should be happy BUT I really don't love the population I will be working with (very low functioning autism). I love my kids now and am heartbroken to leave them. However, this is really good career wise becuase now the chances are lower that I will be out of a job in Sept. (Unless enrollment drops and they have to lay people off... I am at the bottom of the seniority list). With the current temp leave status I am at a high risk for getting laid off.

SOOO it IS good news... I am now working for tenure.. but you know bittersweet.

Well, I hope everything works out for you. I am a firm believer in 1. everything happens for a reason and 2. in regards to #1 thats easier said then believed But there's got to be a reason and I hope you find even more happiness in your new school than you could've imagined!

Thanks I was very nervous about both the other transfers I have had (BOCES IS CRAZY!! ) and they both worked our amazing... so heres hoping.
