I HAD A WEDDING NIGHTMARE

I HAD A WEDDING NIGHTMARE

I'm not normally up at 5am but I just had the worse wedding nightmare! And I had to ask if anyone is having them too?

I dreampt that I told some people and vendors that the wedding was June 17 instead of JULY 17th. So I go to the reception on June 17th - because apparently I got confused too! - and there was some food there and some people but no booze because it was getting delivered on July 17th. So the people who did show up were bored out of their skulls with only some soda to drink! And one of the $5,000 bands I had booked and then cancelled was there because they never got the message. Plus the band was such a 'wedding band' it was adding to the whole bad experience. And then I finally figured out that the reason some people showed up on June 17 instead of July 17th is because I FORGOT to send invitations and they were just going on word of mouth.

I called my FH to tell him to come over and he insisted on bringing my dress and thought I should wear it even though I had no makeup and my hair wasn't done!!!! We both knew that I'd ruined my wedding day!!!!

Oh it was so bad....thank god it wasn't real

Re: I HAD A WEDDING NIGHTMARE

I used to have proposal nightmares.

They would generally come right around a fight between Adam and I or around a friend's wedding (there were three in June).

Generally, he wouldn't actually be proposing, he'd have someone do it for him. And the ring would be hideous. I mean, one was so big it could have swallowed my hand.

The actual proposal was completely beautiful though.

I did, come to think of it, have one wedding nightmare about my friend Adri's wedding where I was a bridesmaid. I came late with the wrong dress, my hair and makeup undone, and I had to go with my AWFUL ex-boyfriend. Then, in the dream, I had anxieties about whether or not the other two brides that month would realize that I wasn't with that jerk anymore (we've been broken up for 4 years) and would let me bring Adam.

Adri's actual wedding was much better than the dream.

I had one last week. It was my wedding day, but I didn't have a gown and didn't have anyone to do my hair. It was horrible, but mostly because I woke up so stressed from it.

i just had one last night that my family and i were at the beach and a big storm came up quickly, we got off the beach in time, but my engagement ring got washed away. it was actually very scarey... i always wonder about the symbolism in these dreams. willow, your dream sounds a lot like some other dreams i've had, no photographer, forgot to send out invitiations, people using paper plates and plastic forks...funny the things our brains do to us!!!

I thought I was the only one!! Ive been engaged for a month, and Ive had two nightmares. The reception didnt serve food at the cocktail hour, the day arrived and I had no hair appt, or photographer and video. I have a year and a half until the big day, I hope this doesnt happen often!

Re: I HAD A WEDDING NIGHTMARE

i had one a few days ago..
it was actually before the wedding and the photo people were telling me that I had too much extra's in their packages and it wouldnt be profitable to do it, so i may need to look for new people, then my hall starts complaining to me, telling me i should book another hall, and i was telling them it was $20extra per person, and the dream ended with them running off to try and see if the other hall would give me a lower rate definately a weird one

I had one too! I dreamt it was a hurricane out and my reception was on the beach, I didn't recognize anyone at the reception, couldn't find my FH, my dress was ugly, the band wasn't able to set up and the bartender was ignoring me and not giving me a drink!

The last part is the worst part!

Re: I HAD A WEDDING NIGHTMARE

I have plenty of wedding nightmares and boy are they scary, so many things go wrong. But they are balanced out by the wonderful wedding dreams I have of me walking down the isle to my prince and dancing the night away as the belle of the ball at my reception.

I think the worst so far was that the dj only played 80's music (which fh and I love) but the guests were leaving and complaning. No one was dancing. Thank goodness only a dream!
