I had my shower yesterday!

I had to share that yesterday I had my shower. Although I was fully aware of it, I still had a lot of fun! I got lots of great stuff and I realized...I''m getting married in 41 days. I cannot wait. Although I''ve enjoyed the planning I actually just want to get on with it. I also have a quick question...does everyone or is everyone planning to meet with their DJ a few weeks prior to their wedding?? We feel we really should so that he understands what type of affair we want and has the order of things right. Although we met with him when we booked, we want to go through some special things we have planned and make sure he is low-key when mc''ing is necessary.

Yes. I agree with you. We're using a band and we met with them a few weeks ago to finalize the details of our day. It helped a lot. We talked about first dance, parents dances, ethnic music etc. It made us both feel a lot better and more prepared.

I am happy to hear you had a nice time at your shower! I would definitely call your DJ to make sure they know what you want tem to do. I am not getting married until next year, but we booked our DJ already. When we signed the contract they explained that they would be getting in touch with us about 3 months before to select the special songs and go over the order of announcing everyone's arrival, etc.
