I had no idea that lady liberty was closed

All this time I thought it was open. Have you seen the commercials that they are trying to re-open her? I know there is a web address but I can't remember it.

I think it's American Express that is trying to collect money to reopen her.

The inside of the statue of liberty is closed since 9/11 but the grounds are still open as well as the giftshop on the 1st floor (at least it was summer 02) ...

Ellis Island remains open also. I went there last summer and found out- I was disappointed that we werent able to climb her.
