I had no luck with the photographers I looked at this weekedn

Could someone please recommend some photographers to me.

I saw already

1) Visual Concepts
2) Perceptions
3) DUET

Any other recomendations because I am back to the drawing board and getting fustrated.

What was wrong with DUET??? We booked them. They are so easy to deal with, very very nice, and offer great packages with great prices.

Hi Bridget,

I met with Visual Concepts too, I thought they were good but pricey. Very organzied though and nice presentation.

Have you checked out Patken? Alot of girls on this board are using or have used them and we liked them too when we met them. I would definately check them out. jennbaby, actually FM me a link to all her proofs and they are beautiful.

PS - I know how you feel, the photo/video search was the most challenging and frustration for us too. It is an important vendor.

Try VIP studios. They are very affordable and one of the things I liked about them apart from their work is that there is always a 2nd photographer. They are a vendor here. I dont know how to post a link.

good luck with your search. I meet with about 7 b/4 I made a decision.

I was in the same boat as you. I had looked at five photographers before booking Ferlise in Levittown. I fell in love with his work--it is a father son business and they have been around for nearly 40 years. You should definitely see their work. I know two girls (found this out after I booked) that used them and they loved them and said their pictures came out fantastic. Just my opinion. Good luck!

I have made an appointment with VIP, We loved Duet's pictures and would have booked them but we did not like the albums they have and two their was a little trouble witht he language barrier. We also loved visual concepts and the only thing I did not like was they do not give you proofs.

Duet does offer another album that is more traditional. It is an additional $400. It is a mounted framed matte book, like most of the other studios offer.

Yes we saw that book also but it can only hold a certain amount of pictures and we needed more and the max was still not enough. We have a large bridal party and have a 260 people wedding so we need alot of photographs to cover the whole day. Also once all that is added in I would have to purchase two books at $550 each on top of the price they gave me and right now I just think I should look around more.

I really loved DUET's albumn- thought it was different. Guess its not for everyone though. I was surprised they didn't have the drop in kind, like the parent ones. Try Marco in Holbrook. He was tied for second for me. Also, try Vivid- Swags1016 used them.

check out Creative Compositions or Jovon. They are a little pricy, but unbelievable. I used CC and LOVED THEM!!! Will post my proofs tonight, I think.

I have also heard great things about Marco photography. I have a friend who used them this past summer. We didn't go interview them though because we went ahead and booked DUET.

The language barrier is more of a concern with my BP. I work in an environment and supervise individuals with Asian accents and my FI his favorite professor had a very thick accent. So, I am not conerned about us, I am more concerned about the BP and the language barrier.

That is how I felt I understood them ok, but my fiance could not, and I could only imagine my bridal party. It is hard because I have 26 person bridal party and only a short amount of time to take pictures. I dont want to have to worry about them not understanding them.

No one has used mine, but we are very happy with them and will make any type of album you want...the photos on the site don't do their work justice. They are both award winning photographers and have awesome personalities...he's really laid back and she's pretty funky and creative with her work!!

My photographer from a larger company that I used, opened this place. He's great and the company has a lot of good feedback so far...he takes great pics and he's a sweetheart of a guy!

I was a little hesitant about Duet's album also, but then I was like, it's the pictures that matter the most, not the style of the album. If I want a different style, I can always take some proofs and create another album myself that is more informal. That's not going to be the official album, but I think it'd be nice to put the rest of the proofs that aren't used for the main album in another one.

We looked into Glenmare in Roslyn and they are really good too! A lot of friends have used them and they loved them (especially the photographer Tom). They do the more traditional style album. Their price was about $5,000 for photos and video including everything. If that's what you're looking for, you should make an appointment to see their work.

Pace Photography
Imagine

We booked Duet because we LOVED their album style.
