Could someone please recommend some photographers to me.

I saw already

1) Visual Concepts
2) Perceptions
3) DUET

Any other recomendations because I am back to the drawing board and getting fustrated.

I just booked with VIP! Yeah!

Anyway, I would also suggest to you Marco, I think I FMed you about them before.

Also we looked at Micheal O'Neill in Northport, their work was really nice (they did FBIL's wedding 3 years ago) they had alot of options, were alittle pricy (about 4000 for photos alone although we priced an upgraded album) They are all digital.

I used Mark Kauffman Studios- but I have NO idea what your budget is. I was very happy with their work.

What do you mean you don't get proofs from one of the photographers? They keep them? I would stay far away from those folks.

VIP is also a good studio. I have read good things about Laurie Studios and Imagine as well.

Don't just book a photographer based on one weekend anyway. Take your time..This decision is very important.

No I have others to see I just saw the ones I really though I was going to like, that is why I was disapointed. I actually have an Appt with Mark and am excited about it. How many photographers do they have?

I am also going to check out VIP too, and some other that you girls recommended.

I booked with Daniel Krieger (who is a vendor on here) He came highly recommended to me by a few friends of mine. Someone also recommended Marco. She used them and loved them.

We booked Patken, we loved them, we booked Steve, but we also loved Fredericks, he did a GREAT job and was soooo nice, patken just offered us a better price and alittle photojournalism thrown in, we just got the best price with them. Definatley check out frederciks, Fred was so nice!!!But check out patken too, they are great and really work with you!!

Just a note, Marco is in Holbrook. I'm not sure who is what office for Patken, but they have an office around the corner from Marco if you wanted to make the appointments on the same day.

What was wrong with DUET??? We booked them. They are so easy to deal with, very very nice, and offer great packages with great prices.

They are printed on this canvis like looking material and bound on the edges with silver lining. But the canvis is indented. It is nice if that is what you are looking for. But we are looking more for a soho/coffee table style album. They also offer that to but I have seen them other places and liked it better. But really the big reason that we did not book was because of the language barrier and my huge bridal party not being able to understand them since we only have a little bit of time for pictures. Defenitly check them out and make your own opinion. There photography style is good though, I did like their photo style.

JULZ: Here is the link to the official duet photography thread. You should check it out before you go to duet. The album is larger then most, its 11x14. Its not like most I saw, its not like the drop in pages with the black. The pictures are the pages, sort of like a child's first book, those really fat ones, You can get either smooth pages or canvas, just tell them what you like. They have 2 albums to show plus the super album with the heavy silver binding. I like the pages in that one best- the way they are layed out. You can get those layouts in the regular album. We booked B rett M atthews. They are pricey but Im picky. I was a photo major in college. We called Patken sveral times and they never called me back and to me that was a little rude. We looked at glenmar and they told me they were the best and that we would never find another photgrapher as good as them. They then called me ever weds. to find out hat i decided.... Look around don't book somewhere because everyone said they are great book because u love them and their work. Good Luck!
