Would you try getting it professionally straightened? I don't have curly hair, but a lot of my friends have gotten it done and love it.

I don't blame you-I love having the option of wearing my hair curly or straight. I use Beyond the Zone-Noodle Head from Sally's Beauty Supply. It works great for me and my curls look amazing. Also check out Ouidad products. They are specifically for curly hair and I've heard good things about them.

I put on Dove leave-in replenishing mist, tie my hair in a bun and sleep w/ it like that. In the morning, I dry it a very little w/ the hair dryer and the curls and soft, not frizzy. It smells great too!
Kiels silk groom is great too.

Oh yeah, I use Infusium leave-in also.
Yes, Kiels is good also, it's very light.

As a fellow curly girl, I do a couple of things. One, I never rinse out my conditioner - I use Dove. And I always use Biolage Gelee. I swear by it. My hair is never cruchy and with the conditioner it is always soft. Also, if you live near an Ulta, there is a brand called DevaCurls; they sell really cool products - I use the NoPoo (because shampoo is really bad for curly hair) and the OneCondition. Some salons sell their product - you can go to the Devachan website to see who sells what.

I have superlong curly hair and all I do is wash w shampoo and conditioner, I dont leave either in. I towel dry and then use herbal essence mousse...I wont use any other, and then flip my head and use my diffuser on my hairdryer. A difffuser is super cheap. jheres how my hair comes out. i love the fact that i have natural banana curls!
Depending on what type of curl you have...I have thick, curly and dry hair....NO product will leave my hair natural except the shea butter for hair. When I use that with a combination of things, my hair will stay shiny and curly....BUT it's very poofy, yet sexy. I have the same problem and have found NO solution for my hair type. Hair straightening may only damage your hair more. I did that for a long time, needlessly. Now there's the permanent straightener. That of course comes somewhere between $600-$1000 dollars, unless you go overseas. But your hair will remain lifeless for at least a year or two!!!

Ditto. The Aussie gel is the best. My local CVS ran out for a few weeks, and I panicked and bought it on Ebay!!. Use a little bit (about the size of a silver dollar) and finger-comb it through your hair. LOVE IT.

I like Infusium 23 and then I use a John frieda finishing cream. Make sure you're using a REALLY good conditioner in your shower-What i did when i had long hair in HS, was to condition it EVERYDAY whether I washed it or not. I would just soak it at night and run a conditioner through, then apply a leave-in conditioner. Helped to keep the curls 'limp' and manageable but still soft and touchable.

I actually just used a sample of sunsilk in the green bottles for curly hair and I really liked it! I used the shampoo, conditioner and this other product thing. I also really like BedHead Curls Rock. It feels a little sticky at first, but dries well. That is what I used in my avatar pic. Also I love the conditioner by Redken for curly hair (in a greenish bottle)! Smells good too!

Martix products are amazing! Sleek Look (in the orange bottles) is great if your hair is think and tends to poof up. It cuts drying time in half. Curl Life (in the green bottles) are wonderful if your curls need shine and bounce! I use both & nothing works better :)

Aveda 'Be Curly' stopped the frizz and curls find their shape even in humid weather
I also use Pantene shampoo and conditioner for curly hair but use conditioner more than shampoo b/c curly hair gets so dry and these restore the moisture
