I know I am the last Oct girl to have her invites done and I truly hate them. I love a certain invite which is a pocket but its too expensive. FH and I are going out invite hunting on Saturday.

we finally picked ours.. but they aren't ordered yet. we haven't even gotten our sample in yet.
we wanted pockets too, but didn't want to spend that much money on paper (just our opinions)... we ended up with something really simple that reminded me of the detail on my dress.
check online for ideas. where do you plan on going? we went to sweet nut hut in deer park.

We went there and they are still on our list of possible to buy from. We are going to Only You this weekend in Islip. Our biggest problem is we know what they want but the freaking enclosures jack up our prices and I want everything to match.
My friend is also attempting to DIY but its getting very close to our mail out date of Aug 1st.

honestly i hate invites too... I wanted something with a nice design/and a ribbon.. and the more and more frustrated I got I just gave up and we ended up picking something really plain and like classic... and that day I felt a huge weight lifted off my shoulders.. seriously ppl throw them in the garbage dont get too crazy over it!

You aren't the last Oct person to deal with invites...don't worry..... I couldn't see spending alot of money on something that most people will toss in the recycling trash.. I bought the do it yourself kind from Michaels...Last week we figured out our wording.... Now the fun will begin trying to print all this stuff out.. It will be fine...Just go with what you like... It will be fine...

Same here. I really wanted something elaborate that would go with my green color scheme. FH's stepdad gets a huge discount from Birch Craft and offered to pay for our invites, but I couldn't find anything that went with what I was looking for. At that point, I said screw eleborate and hello free. We went with something simple and classic. I'm happy we did so, because I'm sure I would have been kicking myself if I went with something a lot more expensive that people would eventually throw away.
