I hate lesson planning! Updated with links to activities
I have been doing work all day so I am ready for Tuesday. Every year I feel so nervous and I never feel confident. I hate this.

I know me too...I haven't even started planning yet though! Tuesday, I have sooo much laminating to do because when I went in early to start setting up my room, they couldn't find the laminating paper! I can't believe that summer is over! Boo!

uhh i hate it too! im planning all day tomorrow! anyone have any ideas what to do with their kids the first week? lol other then rules and routines, i have no clue what im going to do with them!

All of our programs start the first day. I don't even have time to do anything fun with the kids. I hate it!

What grade do you teach? Maybe do icebreaker activities such as interviewing their peers.

im teaching 2nd grade this year (its the first year im teaching 2nd..i have only taught 5th grade) i have a few things planned... i just feel like i need something else...anyone have any cute ideas to learn each others name/ get to know each other type of activity for 2nd grade?

I am teaching a 4th grade ALC room, the kids are really great though, I'm actually looking forward to this year!

You can make sort of a scavenger hunt where they have to talk to other students and find people who fit each description like, find a boy who is born in may, find a girl with blue eyes, find 2 people who love pizza.

haha i was bored and planned my math for the next 2 weeks... my friend and i need to do some planning tomorrow.. we are coteaching this year

youre in NYC right?
we basically just start off the bat with lessons math. reading, writing - not much fun stuff mixed in.. thats why the city succks! haha
