I HATE MY BEST MAN!!!!!!!!!UP DATE!

Up date: He apolgized. He had not reason to give me a hard time because he owns his own business and has plenty of people working for him. He even asked me how to order the rest of the out fit and gave me no more trouble. Dave (BM) is a nice guy, but every now and then he just gets on your nerves. And with all the stress going on I really did not NEED that. Any way hes fine now and isn't going to give me any more greif. He felt bad for upsetting me. I think my FH had a little talk with him. I was very upset. And my FH really didn't this greif with him, after working 12 hr shifts five days in a row with the flue on top of it. But I got a full apogly and he said he didn't mean to upset me, he just wanted me to have a nice wedding with all my friends. I feel better. I was really upset. Girls I'm sorry I haven't been around much. I've just been so busy. And when this happened, I only had you guys to turn to. Everyone else told me just to blow it off, but you all understand what I feeling. Thank you all. I'll try to be on more, I've just had so much to do. But I do check up once and while. I'll try to do that more often. Girls thank you SOOOOO MUCH!!!!!! I know I'm not a bridizalla, but you know maybe I should be! I'm too nice to my guest, family and bridal party! My best man who has been aware of the wedding date for nearly four yrs and is now giving me a hard time about it being on a FRIDAY 31 days before the wedding date!!!!
I told him flat out, don't go! If its too hard for him to take the time off, don't go. I was getting crap from people that my wedding was too late when I had it down from 8pm. So I changed it! I got crap from my fh because I orginoally wanted on Friday the 13 of October, so I changed it! Now I'm getting crap from him because its on a damn Friday!!! I told him if I changed it now I would have to pay 3X's as much as I would for a Friday and his answer was 'Duh! Because thats when people have their weddings!'
Hes trying to tell me more people would come on a Saturday. That its rude of me to invite people on a day they need to work! He is driving me NUTS!!! I had to give him the date a hundred times in the past month or two!!! And I said its 'on a friday' and now hes giving me a hard time!!! What the hell is wrong people! I've had it! I want to elope! I'm tired of everyone single person giving me a hard time about MY DAY!!! I'm sick of it!!!!! UGGGGG.....

people get married on fridays all the time...I DID!!!! i had a few comments made but whatever, i didnt care! dont let him get to you..if its such an inconvenience then he shouldnt come. what the hell kind of a BM is he, why isnt your FH yelling at him???? all of the stress shouldnt be put on you!

you said it best - ITS YOUR DAY - your getting married on whatever day of the week you pick. if you picked a friday than that is what it is.

too many cooks inthe kicthen ruin the sauce (or something like that) you and fh need to plan and if others cant make it or want to talk smack about it that is their problem. your still getting married.

Like my FMIL says.. 'Its your day and if people really want to be there they will take off of work or leave early if they have to'!! Some people just can't afford to have it on Saturdays! we saved 35.00 a head by having it on a Friday!! It's YOUR day do NOT let people make you feel bad about it!!!!!

Hey weekend twin - long time no see!!!! Tell the BM to stick it up his arse. He's known for 4 years when you were getting married and if it is all of a sudden a problem he should just back the f*** out of the wedding so you can get on with your day and have an amazing time!! (I can't wait to see pics of how your theme all came together )

Bonnie, if he has known for so long he has had plenty of time to give notice for the day off. People do it all the damn time.

My oldest brother got married on a Friday and I took the day off and just did what I had to do. I never complained about it being on a Friday.

No matter what you do people will find a way to complain, so don't let it get to you and just keep the plans the way you want them to be!!!

we get the same crap cause ours is on a sunday nite...
we have hardly any older family members going (maybe 20 out of 160 people) all of our guests are in their 20-30's..they can stay out late for sunday nite football but all of a sudden a wedding ending at midnite is an issue..
suck it up people, if u dont wanna come...dont!!

Agreed....and I felt the same way about eloping...it would've saved so much angst....I 'begged' DH to just elope...he refused...he wanted this traditional wedding with everyone there...well....I get nervous in crowds and it was about 3 times larger than I wanted it to be!

You do get some comments on a Saturday wedding... There's always a problem with at least one person with any date that you pick! Our BP is taking off Fri and our wedding is on Sat!

What did someone post last week, opinions are like belly buttons, everyone has got one! Some people just need to learn to keep them to themselves.
