Grrrrrr.....I wish I had more $$$ for invites. I was stupid to misbuget it in the first place....and FH made me stick to it and he won't let us raise the budget.
So I went to Party City....and I'm not loving anything!!!
Went to a more formal invitation place after that...and the lady said I'd have an easier time finding stuff within my budget at Party City.
So...those of you under a strict budget, or even those of you that went the Party City/online route...could you post your invitations to give me some hope?

Oh woman!!!
I don't remember how much it was...but the whole doing it yourself and printing and whatnot got to be overwhelming to me....

did you like something like our invitations (pic in album)...
this is the basic invitation....
but you can customize the cardstock color, font color, font style, and you can add a motif or monogram.
these invitations are $1.50/each (including outer envelope with your return address printed).... and the reception card and envelope are $.90 (with your address printed on it)
Your invites are beautiful! So it's from not from a box? You did the printing yourself though right?
Maybe I do have to back to DIY to make it look the way I like it....
you can order the cardstock from the above website for $.20/sheet (full 8.5x11), and you can pay a simple $5 one-time cutting fee if you want the paper a different size....

for mine we didn't do the printing ourselves.... the one i showed you for $1.50 includes the printing

I haven't looked, but I've heard Target has nice invites. And have you looked at Paper Source? I was going to get mine from there--they have pocketfolds for pretty cheap. I figured out I could do 50 pocketfolds using Paper Source pocketfolds, text paper and RSVPs, with buying a real navy cardstock on a different site (I'd have to look it up) because Paper Source doesn't have navy, for about $130.

I LOVE the navy pinstripes!! TOTALLY goes with my theme!!!
I decided I actually prefer this, since you can have the navy background which creates a border in front, then we can add the pinstripes as a motif: the other invite
These guys have the Envelopements pocketfolds for less than $2 each--most MUCH less. The standard 5'x7' pocketfold in navy is $1.43 as long as you order ten. I don't know how many people you're inviting. If you get inexpensive invites and print them yourself, you could tuck them in there and tie them with a ribbon.

or www.bridalbasicsdirect.com= I used this one... for my invites... I went with Elite invitations.
Typically if you shop for your invites online.. you can get a cheaper deal... like me.. the invites that I wanted were $1800 in the store... I went home and searched online and found a authorized dealer and got 125 invites with the reception & response cards for $1100 with calligraphy... and I an additonal 35%off...

I used pippysweets.com. The lady's name is Diana and she is awesome. My invites are in my album. The price was just right very inexpensive.

Tara, try these from finestationery.com, they are Vera Wang (thermography), $210/100 plus an additional fee for response cards/envelopes.
