I HATE MY MOVING PEOPLE!!!!!!! (VENT LONG)
Ok So Here goes my moving story and WHY I HATE MY MOVING COMPANY.
Ok so they were supposed to pick up my furniture and NOT put it into storage - (picked up on the actual truck going - even it might sit on the truck for a few days.
Well they sent STORAGE company and NOT movers to get my stuff - LONG argument - later that morning they managed to DRAG every box - even those marked FRAGILE in BIG letters DOWN my staircase - they dropped my TV on the rug - etc - we called the company and complained (like that will do any good).
Well they promised at pick up they would give me a delivery date (they gave us a delivery WINDOW when we signed and were told that they would give us the exact date when my stuff was picked up.)
Well they tell me they are storage and can't give me a date - the company tells me that they will give me one the next day.
Well My GUARENTEED delivery time was the 9/26-10/3. Well this is a week later (picked up on the 9/22) and STILL they don't have a date - last we were told they were sending 4 loads on this truck and were picking up again today then leaving and would be here by thurs or friday.
GREAT - so I call the company out here - (who I am told I have to speak to for my date) they tell me they have to call the NY company to find out. NY company tells my father it left today and I can start tracking it by 2 pm today - it should be here by Friday OR SATURDAY - mind you it was supposed to be here by NO LATER THAN FRIDAY.
Well the company out here calls me back and says - well they are still doing pick ups in NY ON THE 3RD - so regardless of what NY has told us IT WON'T BE HERE FOR AT LEAST A FEW DAYS AFTER THE 3RD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SO I have almost NO clothes out here - almost everything was packed since mom told me I was crazy to bring what I wanted to in the car and forced me to pack more - so I FREEZING - with NO coats out here - they are all in my boxes on the truck. The weather here dropped for the past few days into the low 50's during the day and the 40's at night - and I only have one sweatshirt - NO sweaters and one very light weight jacket.
Then I wanted to get my leather coat cleaned before I left and FH told me NO it will get wrinkled do it in MI - well he took it today - THE ONLY WARM COAT I HAVE - to the clearners - figuring it will be cleaned in a few days - well I get the receipt and it says it can be picked up ON OCT 21!!!!!!!!!! THREE WEEKS TO CLEAN A F****** COAT!!!!!!! UGH.
And the only good jobs in the papers out here are thru this company that want 200$ for a years subscription to have them place you - but it seems most of the good companies and law firms around here use them - BUT to me that sounds shady? I thought the companies would pay them NOT me pay them then they tell me if they have any jobs for me. UGH!!!!!
Sorry for the vent just very frustrated.
OH and FH PACKED MY DISKS with my resume on it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And all my suits except ONE are in boxes on the truck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
