i hate numbers!

how do you know how many ppl you will be able to guarantee?

FH and I have an invite list of 190

we are hoping to only have 120-130 at the wedding

is this reasonable?

can we make a 125 guarantee with our list? or a 135 guarantee?

Going by conventional wisdom, a guest list of 190 will yield 150 guests

yep, usually, about 20% of your invited guests will say no ... so that leaves 152 yes's ... of course, it could be more or less, depending on the amount of OOT, etc.

I'd say 135 is a good guarantee for you

I have the exact same numbers as you and also think we're going to have 150 which is alot more than I wanted.

135 sounds like a good guarantee, but that's also depends on the nature if your guests (out of towners)

i have almost the same amt of family as i do co-workers!

i work at a hospital so its very hard to invite one doctor and not the other

you will hit your minimum...even if its more than 20% you may be looking at 140 people

I'd put it at 135 minimum, but that really depends on your RH. Some might require about 150 min. You'll def. meet it at 135.

Co-workers were tough. I'm inviting my entire dept., which is small, and leaving a few extraneous people as 'b-list' guests in case we get more no responses than we anticipate.

we are planning on guaranteeing 125

but i really dont want any more than 135 ppl there

If it was up to me, Id have 80 people...I really want a small intimate wedding!

how do i get this number down??!!

Re: i hate numbers!

go through, see if there are people who can be on a B list.

Just a note though... we invited about 160 people, day of, we had 77. If a lot of the guests are out of town, they may not be able to afford to come in. Thats what happened with us.
