Well it looks as if we won't be making our minimum of 150. After inviting 208 people, and our rsvp day passing on Sat., we are missing 42 response cards and are short 70, yes 70 people.
FH thinks I am nuts, but I am taking this whole situation personally. I am heartbroken and sad that I have to go through this and that people are so rude and inconsiderate.
It looks like we have too make a b list, which makes me feel horrible as well.
I am not even excited about the wedding anymore. We are picking out our menu tonight and I couldn't care less.
I am sorry to vent like this but who else could I turn to but my girls.

Dont worry about it... You have to remember your wedding is in the summer and many people go on vacations. Dont let it get your spirits down. It will be their lose and the guests that are attending your wedding will have a great time!!!!!!!!!
I know many people who got married in the summer and received alot of no's...most from there immediate family...
YOUR WEDDING will be FANTASTIC!!!
ETA: I just realized that you wont make your minimum. If you have to make a B list then do it. You will make your minimum,,,dont worry sweetie!

Definately call! I just assumed when people didn't respond that they weren't coming and I had the opposite situation- I wanted LESS people. Of course everyone is coming- don't just believe that because they didn't respond that they are not attending.

Oh, people are so clueless. You should call the 42 that didn't reply. As the other gals said, it is summer & people ignore mail because they are so busy. I'm sure I will run into the same dilemma since I'm sending mine out mid-July & my RSVP date is Aug 20. So make the calls - hey you might get more yes's....then send out the 'B list'.. good luck, keep your spirits up.
