I hate people...

Need to vent!

I spent 2 weeks getting my girlfriend's 80 bridal shower invites ready. My FH kept telling me I was putting to much effort in. He was right.
Here's what they look like:


I asked her mom who should take care of the RSVPs. She told me to have herself, my friends step-mom and the FIL take care of their prospective guests and I was to take care of my friend's list. I just got an email from the step-mom b*tchin' about the fact that she's taking care of the RSVPs and that I should have put down her work number, not her home number. ***!?!

Everybody has something to say now, but when I was asking around for ideas and trying to book a restaurant...no one had a f*ckin' clue.

I'm about ready to tell them all to f*ck off. I've got my own sh*t I need to deal with.

Sorry for the foul language, but I'm p*ssed. I put way too much energy into this stuff.

some people can be so inconsiderate. They need to take thime out to see all the hard work you did do for this. I'm sorry you have to go through this. Vent away

Your friend is really lucky what a beautiful job you did! Tell them to stick it, and just remember you are doing this for your friend! Who will I'm sure really appreciate it!

The hard work you have put in is shown in the invitations alone!!! I would ignore them! If you can't then, tell these people to **** up a rope. Remind them that this shower is for their daughter/ step-daughter!

Thanks guys. Ahh...I'm feeling better already.

My problem is that I give people too many options. I need to just tell them how it is and delegate accordingly.

I get so angry at the fact that I ask the BMs and moms for suggestions and ideas, but they never have anything for me! After I do something...then they have an idea.

-The invites started out with 'Shhh! It's a surprise.'
-I'm then informed the bride-to-be knows about the shower, so the invites were changed not to say 'Shh! It's a surprise.'
-I'm then later told 'Don't forget to tell everyone it's a surprise' by another bridesmaid. So the adjustment was made to the invites again.
-I call her mom w/a scheme to 'surprise' my friend, only to find out her mom did in fact tell her about the shower.
-The invites stayed as is!!!

I should have just put on the invite:
Come or Stay Home!
I Don't Give A Cr*p!

I love it --
Come or Stay Home -- I Don't Give a Cr*p

Jen those invites are beautiful...ignore them the aggrivation is not worth it
