So I'm having an issue with Pedestals. It really s u c ks that i have to saythis about them but the manager there, Robert is a complete a $$ hole and does not know how to run a proper business.
Some of you may know that Vito left the company. He was the perosn we met with and we loved him. After hearing from this website, not from Pedestals, that he was no longer there I got really nervous.. Long story short, for the past 2 wks we have been back and forth with vito and Pedestals trying to figure out what we want to do and we finally came up with a solution. We went in to meet with Virgil, spoke to him and sorted everything out. He re adjusted our contract without any problems. Yesterday, i get a call from Robert the mgr who bascially calls me to tell me I breached the original contract and becasue of that I should take my business elsewhere and I will not be reciving any of my deposit back.
Previously, i had called and spoke to more than one of his employees asking about the terms of cancelling or adjusting the contract, to which they replied, your deposit is not refunded however, you can use it towards anything you want.
So we worked it out with Virgil who has worked there for over 2 yrs and should know what a client can or cannot do.
Robert claims that Virgil doesnt know the policy! What?! How do you have ppl working there that dont know ur policy..BULL
Then he says that we should take our business elsewhere and that he will have his lawyers contact us.
Nice. Great customer service. i will make sure and tell everyone how great your company is.
This is the only contact I have ever had with them in all the times I've been to Pedestals. I am disgusted at his behavior and the way they are handling the whole Vito situation. And i want absolutely nothing to do with them for my wedding.
Honestly, i dont know what to do now. all I know is that I have a contract stating what i need it to, so I'm waiting for his so called lawyers to contact me so i can share that with them.

He basically kicked you guys out and is gonna sic his lawayers on you???????
I think HE breached the contract by telling you to take your business elsewhere!
ETA: Not for nothing, he should have expected that there would be issues since Vito left and he should be MORE than accommodating.

I AM FURIOUS and so is FH as you can imagine, I know we are completely in the right and we have proof in writing too but now all i really want is my money back and never to have to deal with them again!
The reason why he is doing this is becasue its a personal issue wit vito and he's taking it out on me. and I told him that on the phone...all he did was stutter like a dumb a$$

Do you have a new contract with Vito? Read the back of your old contract and see what it says. If what Robert is saying IS on the back of the contract your kinda stuck, if it's not then your ok.

I agree that if Virgil didn't know he shouldn;t have said something, but Robert should have been willing to work it out.

when we booked with them we were told that the contract just held the date but that we could add or take anything out if we decided we wanted to downgrade...should that be the case?!?!

I totally agree with you and don't blame you, money is money... but I was justc urious if it was scary money, you know?

I think you need to speak with a lawyer and haeve YOUR lawyer call them.
I'm having a vendor contract issue right now and my attorney is handling it, which has miraculously made tem much more accommodating

So when you adjusted the contract, you just adjusted it for less flowers, aka less money.
Still were using Pedastals.
And you were OK with using Virgil.
So..........just b/c the contract was for a lower amt, the manager called & cursed you out????
That makes absolutely no sense - I cannot believe someone would act like that - I would call and report him to the OWNERS and see what they say about a) losing your business and b) losing lots of future business as a result of you posting on LIW.
