14er crashing... I'm two years away and I'm already having this problem!! After we told her the same thing (she can have an equal amount but she has to pay the difference on people that are over), she immediately started cutting it down. We only started gathering a list this early because we KNEW this was gonna be a problem...
Don't get me wrong, I love my FMIL, she has a heart of gold, but sometimes man... wheewwwww

I never really understood why parents feel the need to invite their friends to their childrens weddings. Its one thing if the bride and groom know these people but if we dont then why in the H*LL would we want them there?!?!? UGH I just dont get it...
No I get them wanting some of their close friends there. I would want the same but my parents are paying for their friends to be there, which is what should be done!

Fh was pissed. He said to his dad HE wasn't even inviting people he worked with why the Efff does ffil think that he can have 6 couples??

Future 2014 bride as well OMG. This makes me so mad too. I feel like this is one of the biggest issues, which is why we wrote out the lists earlier. And I agree with what someone said above. No pay, then no say.
