I HATE THIS ECONOMY!!! Is it hurting you as well!!??

Sorry it's long.. need to VENT!!!


The wedding is still on.. Just needed to vent...

Crashing...so sorry to hear that I hate this economy too. It makes everything so much harder, esp when you have a wedding to pay for

Wow I am so sorry.

Perhaps you guys can just sit down , talk and reevaluate? you can still have a fab wedding only scaled down and more economically friendly right? maybe forgo favors (people wont even notice) or get a less expensive dj/ photo package, etc etc.... I am sure you day will be wonderful and things will work themselves out.

Thanks for the support!! I know things will get better..By the grace of the lord we have been blessed and this is just a trails the humans go through.. But don't stress it.. At least we save and have back-up $$ is just the fact of not having a job that gets ppl sad.. When you have love and support from one another it all works out in the end.

Great Minds Think Alike!! I believe one door closes for plenty of more to open.. I'm not complaining of the wedding.. My family is a great help $$ and they are SUPER supportive..My concern is FH.. He tends to keep feelings in and he is very sensitive when it comes to telling me things becuase he saids I'm his Queen/Shining Star!! Awww

Try not to postpone.. Just make a smaller budget with cuts.. We are not having a lavish 30K wedding.. But everyone will believe we did.. I'm an Interior Architect and my IDEAS are AWESOME!! It will work both fashion and style.. I have everything down pack.. Just missing the flowers to pay.. My sister will pay for the DJ.. Thats it!!

Then the little stuff like.. Tux, and flower girl, etc. It will work just like we planned.. He will find something.. I have LOTS of FAITH..

In a way I'm happy we both going to be home for a few weeks together..

Aw man I am so sorry. I hope he finds something soon.

I feel your pain this is FH 2nd week out of work. His manager did the same thing to him that he was almost crying because he didnt want to let him go. All we can do is pray that this economy is going to start picking up soon.

Thanks for the support. We have cut tons of corners my MOH is making my invites and prgorams and menu cards for free ( i love her). I am doing my on CP's with no flowers. I still need a DJ photographer/videographer so many other little things and we are paying for everything ourselves. So if we have to postpone I won't be that upset I'd rather wait then be in debt

My goodness I am so sorry to hear that. So far FH and I have made it passed the first phase of layoffs. I am praying we can at least keep our jobs until the wedding is done.

Your head is in the right place, keep the faith and God will lead the way. Everything happens for a reason. Good luck with everything!

But I just want to say that even though I don't know you at all, just reading the way you are handling this with such strength and positivity, makes me proud, and makes me wish that I could be the same way. You're really awesome for that

We are pretty much in the exact same boat. 5 days before leaving for our vacation FH basically got fired. We too can survive on my pay alone, but it's soooo stressful. In the end it was a really crappy work environment for him, in a dead end job, but it still helped...I'm happy for him that he can move on to bigger and better things. I wish you and your FH the best of luck, and just try to keep him positive about everything

Im sorry!! that soo stinks! I cannot imagine not having a job. You are handelling it so well, its hard to see someone you love so much sad. My Dad was laid off as well, he was a CEO so living without a job has been a major adjustment for my parents and younger siblings. And on top of it.. my job is on the line this month too. Its either me or another girl so we are battling it out now, 1 of us must go

I hope I can be only half as strong and positive as you are. I am keeping him in my thoughts! I hope he finds something soon You guys will get through.. we all will.
