yesterday at christmas eve dinner at FILs I had to sit there while FMIL and FBIL went on and on about how FH is the most miserable person they ever met, he is never happy and he is a grump 24/7.
first of all, I find this offensive to ME bc I take it to mean that I am not making him happy
AND second of all, as I tried to explain to them, my FAMILY and all of our friends consider FH to be VERY happy and just QUIET. He is not the type to jump around and be giddy. He is just like his father and many men in his family. He is the 'strong silent type' but if you KNOW him you know when he is happy. . .
How can you say he is miserable and then look over and see him LITERALLY rolling around on the floor with his three nieces and making them all laugh hysterically.
And then, to top it all off - FH gets up from the table and EVERYONE else is sitting there and FMIL decides to discuss with me the color of FH's URINE and how he is going to DIE soon because he doesnt go to the doctor, no joke she mentioned she hopes that he gets to have children

OMG how un-tactful of them. Sorry that is the nicest word that I can find. I can definitley picture your frustration. Does FH know that they speak like that about him?
