I had to get caugh medicine for my hubbie and i had to wait on a line for 35 MINUTES

I tried to go to the Wal-Mart in East Meadow several months ago, it took 15 minutes to park because there were NO spots and the store was a zoo- full of people, narrow aisles. I walked out without buying anything. It sucks. The upstate NY ones are SO much nicer.

Which Walmart? I cant stand the one in Islandia..its a dump! I agree with the self checkout lanes. Makes life easier. I use it all the time at supermarkets and lately a lot at Home Depot.

i love the cashiers that don't say a word to you as they are ringing you up. no hello or thank you, and you have to read the screen for the total. great customer service!!

awww I am soo sorry you all hate walmart My Dh works at walmart and my mother in law works in target! My dh is a sales rep he does the children books and works in the electronics. but he works in Islandia, centerreach, setauket. he is working late tonight. I am so sorry again you all have had a bad experience with walmart.
ETA: if you ever go to centereach, Islandia, setauket by dvd's there pleassse Dh gets commision on those. he doesn't work for walmart per say he works for a company that works in walmart.

THAT IS THE ONE
My brother was a manager there for like 3 months and quit with hardly any notice. He never hated a job so much. We went to visit him there one night and I couldnt wait to get out! That store (Islandia) is a dump! I do like the one in Centereach. I never had a problem there.

I am working in the accounting office for the new one in Westbury. we just opened up yesterday, but I can guarantee you that it won't be any faster getting out of this one. And I doubt the cashiers are very nice at this store, I rarely talk to them. I do have to admit,since the store just opened the shelves for the most part are stocked, and it's clean.

I hate the Walmart in East Meadow!! There is ALWAYS at least a 15 minute wait on line, even if there is like 3 people in front of you with 2 things each
The Walmarts in the south are SO much better, I used to LOVE the one that I used to go to when I lived in NC.
