Thought I would share. I totally love my wedding.. but I hate going to other peoples weddings...unless i am super close to them. haha I feel like i am the only one.

i hate when i dont know anyone else at the persons wedding im going to.
Many a'time i have been a date to a wedding where i dont even know the bride and groom let alone anyone else.

i have to admit even if i do know people i hate going.. i just dont like weddings.. i think they are lame and cheesy.. yet i am doing a very traditional wedding.. who would have thunk it

Oh no I def feel the same way. I hate going to weddings when I only know the bride and groom. I have a wedding at the end of the month that FH and I are going to and I'm not 100% looking foward to it

i dunno, i might be a little weird but i looove weddings. yrs before i was even engaged i used to sit there and watch a wedding story on TLC, hahahha.

Before we got engaged I wasn't a huge fan of weddings. And now, I can't get enough wedding TV! HOWEVER, I'm still not that into going to them. Dunno what it is.

i always hate HAVING to go bc it's money i would rather spend on something else, but when i'm there i always have a great time. open bar!

Oh I LOVE weddings! I wish I knew more people getting married so I could go to them more often. I like getting dressed up and the food and wedding cake and dancing and watered down drinks, the whole thing! It's an expensive night out but totally worth it IMO.

I get nervous prior, but always have a good time. Always, like I haven't gone to two weddings in my adult life. And only one as a guest. Yeesh.
BUT I have two weddings coming up this year besides my own. I'm not looking forward to the first one as much because I only am friends with the bride and groom, don't really know/get along with the other people, and FH and I will probably be stuck at a table where no one says boo to us, like the e-party. Fantastic!
But I am looking forward to his cousin's because it's going to be swanky-ish and will probably be a crazy wild party.

I can't stand 'em! I always hated goin' to them. And it's just not the wedding - engagement parties, wedding showers, bachlorette parties, the whole thing. I can't stand them.
And don't get me started on baby showers! I would rather poke my own eyes out than go to a baby shower!
I think that's why I didn't do an e-party, I refuse to have a bachlorette party, and there are only 2 reasons why I'm even having a shower: (1) my mother is insisting upon it; and (2) it's payback for all those presents I've had to buy and all those beautiful summer afternoons that would have been perfect for the beach but I had to spend my entire day inside oohing and aahing over china and silverware!!! YUK!!!
I thought I was the only one. That's why sometimes I feel like the anti-bride.

I love weddings. I was a bridal attendant for a long time and I loved it bc I got to see so many weddings.

When I first got engaged, I told FMIL that I didn't want to have a wedding because I thought that they were so egotistical and self-centered... Now I am obsessed with my wedding and completely self-involved....

Oh god. You just made me think about how much its going to suck when I have to go to ALLL the showers that the girls I'm inviting to mine have one day. I tried to refuse to have a shower because I find the idea of registering for gifts and pretending you don't know what you got when you open them stupid. Everyone knows you've been looking online to see what's left your registry for the past few weeks... So yeah... hate them. But then everyone forced me to have one and now I'm glad because why shouldn't they buy me gifts... I'm going to have to buy everyone else gifts at their showers....

I also did not want an engagement ring at first. I told FH to buy me a boat instead if he ever proposed.... Glad he didn't listen! But I still want a boat :)
