When I tell someone I have 10 bridesmaids and they go.....'you have TEN bridesmaids' and look at me like I am crazy. Or when I say I am having both of my sisters as maid of honor. And they look at me like I have 5 heads. My little sister is 11, and I have an older sister, I was maid of honor in my older sisters wedding. Now if I have my older sister for MY wedding, my poor little sister just gets left out. So big deal, I am making her a maid of honor too, she is SO excited!! But why do people have to make me feel stupid????? Sorry this is so long.

There is NOTHING wrong with any of that!!! 10 girls is awesome! And having your 2 sisters as your Maids of Honor is just a BEAUTIFUL thing!!!!!!!!!!

There is nothing wrong with 10 girls or 2 MOHs-I know that I can barely handle my 4 girls so I give you credit!

I agree. Who cares what they think. It is up to you - it is your wedding! I think it is great to have your sisters both as MOH

Thank you! I know, Im so happy I am doing that for my little sister, she thinks shes like hot stuff being a maid of honor!! I love it. And as for having 10 girls, I couldnt cut it down, it was just impossible. They are my friends and family. I figured you girls would understand. Its just rude!!

In the next year, you'll find more people that look at you like you have five heads, on that issue and other issues.
People aren't good at keeping their opinions to themselves. It's hard but, don't worry about what they think, it's YOUR day!!! I know it's easier said than done!
ETA: I think it's great that you are having both sisters as MOH's!

Same here I have 8 bridesmaids and a FG!! Everyone thinks im nuts but i dont care.! It's our day !

I also have 10 girls in my bridal party. People look at me strange sometimes as well. I don't care what they think........at the end of the day, I will have my closest friends supporting me and being by my side.....there is nothing more special than that!

Your not the only one.... I am having 10 as well....and when i speak to some vendors they tell me thats nothing ---they have done weddings with 13 bridesmaids.... and larger bridal parties then mine.
Don't sweat the small stuff put your energy into something else rather than what others think of your wedding party....I am telling you --you can get alot out of putting the energy somewhere else....such as planning other thingas about your wedding!!!
Who cares how anyone looks at you....It shouldn't matter, its your day and that is it.

I think that is nice that you are having both your sisters as you MOH. I am having both of my sisters walk me down the aisle, my father is not in my life and my mom passed away. But my sisters and I are very close, and I heard the same crap. 'There isn't a male, like ur uncle or stepfather that can walk you?' No, because it wouldn't mean the same. You shouldn't just pick people to be a certain part of your wedding just because it is the 'traditional' way...You should do what makes you happy. And I think it will mean ALOT for your little sister to also be your MOH!!

Yep! I have 9 girls and I get the same reaction from vendors! One vendor told me the biggest party he has dealt with was 40 people! Tell people that when they look at you funny!
But seriously, do not listen to anyone. It is your day and if these are the people that are special to you and that you want to be standing beside you, then who cares what people say! People give me a hard time about the size of my BP also, but it's difficult to cut anyone out! I think it is very special that you have asked everyone you wanted to, especially both of your sisters to be you MOHs! It will be so special for your little sister to know that age does not matter in your relationship!

Don't feel bad. . .I have one maid of honor and two madrid of honors and 8 bridesmaids! It's all family and seriously who cares what people say. It's our wedding and we are sharing it with people we care about. It's a great thing
