i have 1 day to pick a florist... suggestions, please!

ok, so i'm hoping to use saturday to pick a florist. i need to pick 3-4 great ones to visit.

i am looking for someone who is artistic and who will work closely with me and pay attention to my ideas. oh, and if they don't cost a fortune that would be nice

any suggestions?

It is not as well known but check out The Flower Barn in Seaford-ask for Mike. He meets all of your criteria!!

oh, i've definitely heard of those two... i put this out there to see if maybe there are others who are perhaps less well-known but just as wonderful.

e.g. there is a florist called 'petals and ink' who is a vendor on liw, and her website is fabulous! but no one on here seems to use her...

I'm using Jenn from JennBlossoms.com- she was on nsgraham's budget page. I am only getting personal flowers and the ceremony but she is setting up my centerpieces at the hall too and she quoted me 600 total. I am using all orchids, hydrandeas, white roses and purple lisensums.

Alex-- I am really happy with with Flowers By Brian- I liked his creativity.. Also, that place I told you about before-- I think they are worth a trip.

Hi to the Mom!! Burton's Burton's Burton's is my suggestion. Great prices, and total freedom with the flowers. Excellent work! (I've seen their work at other weddings - they were the only flower vendor we visited.)

well, i technically don't have just one day, BUT my wedding is 7 1/2 months away and i don't have a florist... i live in nyc and don't have a car, so i can't really get around LI all that easily. and the few weekends after this one in october/november are being taken up by residency interviews and the medical boards. so time's a wasting, and i'm thinking i should pick a florist SOON!

Oh ok gotcha. I thought you might have been under pressure from a florist to decide whether to pick them or not. I met with an obnoxious florist who told me he is so popular and I only have 2 days to decide if I want to use him or not and then my day would be booked. I ran from that place. You are going to be busy this coming year. I would meet with John from Flower Michele. He is so accommodating. Whenever I email him he responds and sends pictures. He is great. There are no second thoughts or worries with him. He takes care of everything and thinks about all the little details. Can ya tell I like the guy
