I have 26 days left and Im freaking out!!! PLEASE HELP
So im planning this WHOLE wedding alone, literally... and its too much!! I cant keep up with everything... I went to the lady where im getting most of my vendors(photo, video, limo, flowers) and showed her a pic of a centerpiece that Im in love with and she flat out said for $$ we paid for our package she cannot give is this centerpiece, unless we add basically $1,000. So now im looking for alternatives.
the first pic is the one I originally wanted: (all white orchids) and she said def. not. casue she said they are so expensive... so I wanted to maybe get the same thing but modified....(the second pic)
or just change it all together to calla lilies which she said she can do but am scared it not going to come out the way I want (something like pic 3)
Ladies please give me advice or ideas on how I could get what Im looking for... PICS would be sooo helpful.... I HAVE NO ONE ELSE TO ASK

well the 3rd pic also has orchids and curly willows along with the calla's, that picture is from my wedding so i know lol.
But you can definitely do it with all calla's, maybe ask to throw in some curly willows and should look great

Okay first why did your vendor wait till 26 before your wedding to sit down and talk about CP, for what you are paying her what examples can she give you, ask her to work out another arrangement that is just as tall in height but in your budget. Did you tell her what you had in mind when you booked with her? Calla lillies are beautiful and can do alot with its height, they start out really tall. The Orchid idea is beautiful, but it looks very costly. Maybe you can have one of the Orchid CP where the place cards are or the guest siging book is. Most importantly what kind of CP did your florist show you or told you that you could choose from when you booked with her? It is her job to come up with the ideas and make it come alive, you have to decide if you like it or not. Tell her to come up with some ideas in your range.

its a case of you get what you pay for... basically this lady offered me a dirt cheap package for flowers, limo and photo/video and Im on a budget so I took it... but not blindly...in feb '08 my sister in law used her for her wedding and everything came thru... but you gotta be ON TOP of this lady and basically show her EXACTLY what you want because she has no artistic or creative side at all.

Hi date twin, no worries. The 3rd pic is gorgeous too. I would go with that if its in your budget. I can only say this because its not me, dont kill yourself over flowers. Its not worth the stress, just pick something you like.

Im meeting up with this lady tomorrow and most probably finalizing the third picture (call lilies). I just hope she has time to make some kind of sample for me!! Hows everything with your planning going?

We are doing something similar to the first picture, but to make it look fuller our florist added white hydrangeas in the center. I couldn't even tell, it looked like a full bouquet of orchids.

that sounds like it would help becasue all orchids are TOO expensive ... do you think you could post a picture of the sample if you have one... or FM it to me? thanks let me know

It's crazy but at least I feel lie I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Everything is finally starting to come together.

I really like the 2nd pic...imagine if you added candles thatd be beautiful!
The 3rd pic is GORGEOUS I love calla's but for some reason I think callas are also very pricey so def check with the lady....
The 2nd modified is great show the lady that pic and maybe with the candles like the first one! HTH

Dalia Here is an example of my CP with the calla lillies. I wanted to cut cost as much as possible so i bought my own vases they were on sale at Pottery Barn, i bought 35 and Pedestals are adding the Calla L with rasberry stalks and some other fushia color flowers, my theme is pink so this works for me. Sorry you have to view it in my album.
