I think there are a few reasons. Sometimes, brides don't find this board until after they booked their place (like me) and want some feedback. Some of this feedback can help when it comes to dealing with the place, i.e., if another bride's feedback indicates that they are flexible on certain things. Or soon-to-be brides can mitigate extra costs if they know of other brides experiences with the place or vendor. Sure, in the perfect world, we'd get every ounce of feedback prior to doing anything, but given that that is impossible, why not arm yourself with information? Every little bit helps, I think. I agree you will always get someone who complains, but if you have already done some research you can weed out the stuff that is senseless. Someone posted here that her DJ (who I am also using) had trouble getting some special music she wanted. It was only a few days before the wedding and she was nervous. It helps me to know that and plan ahead a bit in terms of staying in touch with him earlier on. Her feedback was helpful so I can avoid the same stress. I think things like this are the main goal of asking. Also, the positive feedback is really nice to hear too.

I can only assume that you are addressing me, since I placed a similar posting earlier. My fiance and I are happy with the place that we booked. We have heard that the food is great and the place is beautiful. However, if anyone has anything negative to say about the place, I would like to know as early as possible because it can be rectified prior to our wedding day. I am sorry that postings such as mine bother you, but it is my understanding that this is an informal chat room and I don't think anyone should feel that any wedding related question is inappropriate.
Just curious-why won't you use the photographer she used?
They were going to open a facility in Barbados but the plans didnt go through. Oh well...they told me that they are planning now to open a Sandals on one of the Spanish speaking Islands in the near future. Also they just took over some other facilities in Jamaica but they are 'Beaches' not Sandals so it wont be couples only.
