I have a dilema...kinda long

Ok so I know my shower is coming up soon. I know the invites went out about 1 week ago b/c someone slipped. Not a big deal. But I have an outfit that i really want to wear. the only problem is now my sisters are telling that we are having a surprise 60th for my Mom on the weekend i thouhgt it was. They are making me do the favors which I am going to make truffles for. They mailed me an invite and it says 1:30-5 sharp. Now most parties would be 1-5 and the person being surprised is there at 1:30, right? But then my FH told me he wants to go down to LI the following weekend to do wedding stuff. Its not like him to want to go down 2 weeks in a row. I am so confused. I don't want to wear my outfit for my 'moms party' if its not my shower. And i am a little annoyed that i think it is my shower that i have to make a million truffles. Any adivce. I knwo its stupid but I am a lttle annoyed

hmmm. im confused too
I would wear your shower dress incase it is your shower...and buy another one incase it's the next weekend

hmmmm sounds like they're tyring to trick you. I would wear something else to your moms party, but bring the dress too. This way if it is your shower, you can change. Or arrive not dressed yet and say i didn't want to wrinkle my dress in the car so i wanted to put it on when i got here! HTH!

i had the exact problem...im like tell me if its my shower..i dotn want to waste my outfit lmao....

just get two nice dresses..u can wear the other for the rehearsal dinner

thanks I am so confused i hate this. I hate surprises. I will have to check my registry when it gets closer.

Why don't ask your sister a bunch of question about your moms 60th party, like whos coming etc...if she sounds like shes up to something I would assume its your shower. Maybe you can bring the dress with you just incase it is lol...They are just trying to throw you off and they probably need your help with it thats all. I mean they are probably working really hard on your shower, I don't think you should be upset.

hmmm....defintiely sounds like they are up to something. I would buy a second dress just in case - find something that you love just as much if possible. Don't worry about helping to make the truffles..if it is for your shower hopefully they will only make you do some of them to throw you off. I was MOH for one of my BM's and when I threw her shower I sent her an invite to a party at my aunt's house saying it was a graduation luncheon for getting my master's. She showed up with a gift for me to her own shower!
